Restoration of WW 7078
Work has finally started on the restoration of Motor Trolley WW 7078. The jigger was on static display during the SteamRail Wanganui Open days over the weekend of the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of January 2017 for part of the Wanganui Vintage Weekend. I have now started to strip the trolley down to replace the rotten timber work. The main frame looks to be in good condition except for 3 of the up rights that need replacing. The plywood seat and steps also need replacing. Hamish Coull has been looking at the Briggs and Stratton Engine for me. He says the engine looks to be in good order and should only take a few adjustments to get it operating correctly.
