Back Country NZ
This layout is the only one that I have not built myself. It took my fancy on trademe. But was sold to someone else, so I thought. It turned out that my wonderful partner had brought it as a Christmas present for me. It is a N scale layout which features New Zealand scenery. I plan to run my NZ120 New Zealand models on this layout. Most of these models run well on this layout, but I will need to ease the tunnell portals a little to stop by Dx from hitting them. It has now attended 3 of the WMR&ES Christmas shows, a couple of the WMR&ES public open days and one to the Steam Traction Society "Steam Fair"
Layout size is 2.0m long by 1.0m wide.

NZ 120 Scale
Da, Dbr, Dc and Dx Classes of locos plus rolling stock. These trains are TT gauge bodies running on N gauge chassis and track. Some of these models are second hand . I purchased the second hand ones (Dbr, Dc's weathered, Coal and ballast wagons) over 20 years ago from Macks tracks model shop. I was told they were built by Rhys Batcheler but I also now hear that they may have been built by Paul Bersten. These are the models I plan to use on my new Back Country NZ layout.
